Why Fabulous Single Women Should Book Christmas Portrait Photography

Most women do not consciously decide to stop being photographed. It happens quietly. You see holiday cards and family photos and somewhere in your mind you think maybe next year. There is no big reason. You just feel like this season is not meant for you yet.
I know this because I am guilty of it too.
I am single, and even as a professional portrait photographer, I have caught myself waiting. Waiting for the engagement. Waiting for the wedding. Waiting for the version of life that feels more official. Christmas comes and goes and somehow I convince myself that this year does not need to be documented.
But life is still happening.
You are still growing into yourself. Still changing. Still becoming. Skipping photos does not pause time. It just leaves gaps where memories should be.
Professional photography and portrait photography are not just for families. Christmas photos can simply be about marking where you are right now. Who you were this year. What you looked like in this season of your life.
I photograph women in my studio who feel the same way I do. They do not need a reason beyond wanting to be seen. Holiday portrait photography can be quiet, meaningful, and full of joy without trying to prove anything.
And honestly, your mom still wants photos of you on her fridge. She does not care about milestones. She just wants to see your face.
I am reminding myself of this as much as I am reminding you. We do not have to wait for the next chapter to celebrate the one we are in.
